I got my Christmas shopping done today. It took about a half-hour. Okay that's not exactly true. I got my Christmas buying done today. Actually, I got thinking about it and realized I'd shopped for a couple months, that's how I was able to walk right to everything I wanted, pick it up and pay for it in no time. Because I don't spend money until the last week or so, I don't think of it as shopping. Putting the buying off until the last minute has one major drawback -- it took as long to get into and out of the parking lot as it did to buy everything.

I get home today and my mail consists of a sinister looking envelope from the finance department at the Phone Company. Well I opened it to see how they were trying to screw me over this time and it was the check for the credit they mailed me about last week. :-\ They're really going out of their way to piss me off. ;-)

Let's see, what can I bore you with today. I just noticed a bit of a milestone, my webcounter has reached 11,000 hits. Go me! ;-) On a less cheerful note, my laptop died at work today. I got almost nothing done. And now at least part of my weekend is going to be spent trying to recover that. :-( I'm trying really hard to get psyched for Christmas this year. I really wish I was more settled into my job and apartment, so I could just relax and enjoy things. But as it is, I'm going to be doing a lot of non-holiday running around. :-\ I'll try to take as much time as possible to enjoy the season. We'll have to see if it works.

PS: I forgot to mention that after a crappy day at work I got home and found what looked like a phone bill in my mail. I just got a bill about a week ago so I was pissed until I opened it and found out that it was a credit for nearly $17. I'm not sure exactly what it's for, but I'm not arguing. ;-)

Okay, I'm still not very good about keeping this thing up to date. I just can't think of anything to write while I'm sitting at my computer. Occasionally, I'll get a great idea while I'm doing 70 MPH on the Interstate but generally don't try to take notes then. By the time I get back home, they're gone. :-\
